Public Sector Customers Quickly Deploy Apps With New Mobile Offline Capabilities

Helping our government customers design mobile apps with the best user experience and seamless integration with their current IT investments is one of Appian's top priorities. In our 19.1 release, we've added some exciting new mobile offline capabilities that enable government organizations to work with data, cases, and tasks.

Appian 19.1 expands on this capability so you can remain productive everywhere with mobile offline tasks. With offline enabled tasks, all the data, context, and files you need to access and complete the task will be available from your device, so no matter where you are, you can complete tasks and access offline cases. Tasks you work on offline are queued locally, and automatically synchronized to the server when you reconnect to the internet.

Building mobile enabled applications remains easy in Appian 19.1. The new capabilities are deployed across the entire platform and will be available in any application. Enabling Mobile Offline features simply requires the form to be designated as offline enabled in the interface designer. No additional coding is required. Appian mobile tasks are also process aware, so if changes are made on the server, users will be alerted before synching.

Mobile Offline Use Cases for Public Sector

Today many public sector teams are using mobile offline capabilities to achieve their important missions. A few examples of mobile offline use cases include:

    • Field and site inspection processes

    • Financial, grant, tax, procurement and other field audits

    • Disconnected operations across a variety of personnel domains for Defense agencies

    • Investigative, homeland security, police, and other law enforcement agency case management and reporting

    • Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) forms and tracking by service technicians

We're excited to talk to our customers about how they can leverage Appian for mobile online and offline functionality. Appian 19.1 continues our trend of making it easy to quickly develop and deploy advanced mobile enabled apps with little to no coding required.
