Appian’s Wiki application assists Appian system admins and developers manage a knowledge base within Appian to use as a guide or resource for both internal and external users. Documentation can be either developed as users build out the system within the application or uploaded from existing materials.
By writing simple documentation on process or solutions and storing it in an easy to access location within the system itself, there will be less confusion around how various apps work, allowing both new and existing users to find the information they need to start being productive faster.
Page content is created using a single form where the user can enter markdown text, upload and insert images, and view a preview of the final page. Page metadata is handled in another form where the user can define parent-child relationships and page title/sort order. Each page has a record and all pages are shown on a report and a site.
