Iccrea Cooperative Banking Group: 13 Banking Applications in 1 Year with Low-Code

Business Problem

Iccrea Group wants to enable faster service delivery and more efficient operations, and offer customers an exceptional experience on any platform. Starting with the parent company, Iccrea Bank, the organization has launched a digital transformation initiative to automate key business processes and enable a path of continuous improvement. They set out to identify a technology platform that would allow them to break away from traditional applications and create an architectural layer on which to orchestrate the various business processes while reducing the complexity and manual tasks associated with financial compliance procedures.

Appian Solution

The Group plans to implement various applications on the Appian low-code platform, such as credit card fraud management process and accounts payable to manage and reconcile invoices. They are also improving the customer experience for Cooperative Credit Banks through the management of processes relating to the life cycle of retail banking, financial and insurance products in accordance with European P.O.G. (Product Oversight Governance) regulations. Thanks to the speed of Appian’s low-code development combined with Agile methodologies, Iccrea was able to create 6 new mission-critical applications in the first 6 months on Appian.
