Integrating social can be as easy as changing a signature

For businesses, social BPM can be a critical way to boost productivity and efficiency. However, integrating it into everyday operations can be tricky. Properly leveraging social media and getting employees on board can be made easier through exposure though.

By putting social portals out there, including them in email signatures, posting work-related events and documents on them and directing employees to them, firms can optimize exposure and better utilize these tools as the community building and productivity shaping resources that they are.

Business process management solutions derive their value from proper use, and leveraging social can be trickier than many other technologies and trends for enterprises. By properly directing employees to these solutions and promoting their use through everyday operations, companies can ensure they are reaching ROI goals and enhancing the actual delivery of information and resources to their workers.

However, it is also important not to overload employees on these tools. Workers may become desensitized to social platforms if too many are forced on them at once, requiring proper pacing to ensure adoption. The right BPM software will facilitate this pacing and promote strength over time through these tools.
