Appian Continues to Expand Global Presence with German Office Opening
Growth has been a reoccurring theme of late here at Appian. We recently finished a summer full of adding talented new faces to our staff across all departments, as well as customers for industries such as federal government, health care, life sciences/pharmaceuticals, and retail.
To cap it all off, we even found the time to expand ourselves globally. Last month, Appian strengthened its European presence with the opening of the new Frankfurt, Germany regional office, which will directly support Appian’s current customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Global expansion has been a continuous goal and priority for our company and the recent expansion into Central Europe will help us better-serve our broad international customer base. Appian Europe recently helped BayernLB, one of the largest banks in Germany, deploy its first process application on the Appian BPM Suite platform. BayernLB will use Appian’s worksocial capabilities to improve its vendor management process for procurement, and plans to extend its use of the Appian platform for additional core banking processes.
“The German market for BPM software is expanding rapidly as organizations look to transform their processes and deploy innovative new business solutions,” said Dirk Pohla, Managing Director of Operations for Appian in Germany. “A dedicated German presence will allow us to work closely with our customers to help them move quickly and effectively in making modern BPM software a competitive advantage.”
Dirk is an industry veteran with more than 10 years of experience in delivering high-value BPM programs as well as expertise in both on-premise and cloud solutions.
Since its establishment in 2007, Appian Europe has experienced tremendous growth and continues to be an international BPM market leader. By expanding our direct presence in Europe, Appian will be more effective in servicing current customers, while using the German office as a resource to better attract new and thriving European businesses.
It’s one thing to say we have a global presence and the capabilities to reach European markets from a U.S. headquarters. But we create so much added value to current and future customers when they see that our offices are literally in their backyard, and not an ocean away. A physical presence, more than any technology or service, tells an organization that we are committed to global expansion.
Yes, it’s been quite the summer at Appian, and we can’t wait to see what the fall has in store!
