Nick is a chartered accountant with 25 years of experience working across the financial services sector. He qualified with Deloitte, where he trained in financial services audit before specialising in litigation support and fraud investigation, including 18 months seconded to the Banking Investigations Group in the FSA’s Enforcement Division. Nick transferred to the Internal Audit sector in 2001, and held a series of technical portfolio and leadership positions across Barclays Capital and then Barclays Group’s Risk, Finance, Treasury and Compliance functions, before transferring to the Compliance Function to lead the Sanctions remediation programme globally in 2010. Nick joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2012 as Audit Director with responsibility for the Risk and Finance disciplines. His role included specific regular Board reporting in respect of stress testing and credit impairment adequacy, as well as frequent EXCO, Board and Regulatory interactions including in respect of sensitive conduct–related investigations. Nick re-joined Barclays Internal Audit in October 2016 as Head of Strategy and Change.
