The State began an aggressive state-wide program to improve management of its real estate portfolio. Focusing on the integration of data, visual analysis, staff collaboration, and process management, the State not only gained control of the portfolio costs, but also generated significant savings thanks to our BPM services.
The State approached Appian solution partner Talisen Technologies to develop a visionary solution for consolidating the management of facility information, resources, and processes into a single, controlled environment. Talisen leveraged BPM from Appian as the system’s underlying foundation for process optimization. The Facilities Information Management system (FIM) integrates all building automation systems in the State’s public facilities into a single, virtual, real-time information source. All of this data is then filtered through the Appian process control layer for the orchestration of the necessary (and highly human-centric) process flows, the application of Business Activity Monitoring to detect events and exceptions, and the generation of process metrics for management and continuous process improvement.
