Together, Appian Enterprise and Zynium's Byzio Exporter Enable Rapid Import/Export of Visio® Business Processes
Vienna, VA., September 21, 2005 - Appian Corporation, the first Business Process Management (BPM) company to deliver advanced process, knowledge management, and analytics capabilities in a fully integrated suite, today announced that it has partnered with Zynium, the market leader in middleware for workflow, to provide integrated Microsoft® Visio® process map data extraction and transformation for use within the Appian Enterprise BPM suite. The companies will work closely to develop and deliver standards-based solutions that automate the export and transformation of critical business processes, such as Six Sigma and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes, from Visio into Appian Enterprise.
After spending significant amounts of time and money documenting the graphical view of their critical business processes using Microsoft Visio, many global organizations are realizing the limitations of Visio's static process maps, specifically the inability to fully support dynamic processes. Without real-time, end-to-end business process management, execution, and analysis capabilities, companies cannot automate, monitor and improve their processes, making it especially difficult to achieve and maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and Six Sigma quality control requirements. Leveraging Zynium's Byzio Exporter™ together with the Appian Enterprise BPM suite, customers can convert process models from static Visio diagrams to executable, dynamic Appian business process models in seconds. Production Microsoft Visio files can be exported with banded grouping, charts, and data parameters into dynamic process models within the Appian Enterprise BPM suite.
