Power Service Products (PSP) is America’s largest manufacturer of technologically advanced diesel fuel additives. Power Service supplies 1,000-plus warehouse distributors, retailers, and original equipment manufacturers serving the trucking, automotive, agriculture, marine, construction and mining industries worldwide. Additionally, Power Service proudly supplies diesel fuel additives to the United States federal government, including the armed forces.
Business Problem
PSP’s operations include facilities that store, blend and ship Volatile Organic Compounds. These materials have the potential to be hazardous, and are subject to government regulation. PSP leaders sought a BPM solution to manage the administrative aspects of regulatory compliance: record keeping, inspection, auditing and reporting requirements. They also wished to streamline management of their EPA and state registrations.
Appian BPM Solution
PSP has deployed Appian’s BPM platform to automate their facility inspection management. They will use Tempo to track inspection results via mobile, monitoring compliance to a number of requirements such as Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Fire Extinguisher Inspections and others. PSP intends to tackle a variety of other processes with BPM in the near future.
