On July 8 at 11:00am ET/16:00 London, the two companies will host a webinar featuring psHEALTH customer Chartis Medical & Rehabilitation (formerly AIG). Chartis will discuss its new Symbio-Sys solution, a psHEALTH/Appian online case management system deployed in under 60 days.
"We needed an improved end-to-end customized patient case management system, but we refused to waste time and money on typical lengthy application development cycles," said Scott Trevithick, general manager of Chartis. "Working with psHEALTH on the Appian platform we rapidly delivered a new, mission-critical application without upfront investments or IT infrastructure headaches."
Chartis realized that a combination of legacy systems and paper processes was threatening its leading position in the medical and vocational rehabilitation market. Their goal was to take client care to the next level. Critical to this was developing an online portal where clients could make referrals and monitor the progress of cases over the web. In addition, they needed an effective tool for their case managers.
Symbio-Sys' flexible and secure web-based platform enables Chartis to quickly respond to new client requirements and tailor products and SLA monitoring down to individual client contracts. The solution handles all referrals to and communications with treatment providers, resulting in faster turn-around, better reporting and less administration for everyone.
Symbio-Sys has been shortlisted for the 2010 Claims Technology Awards in the Client Care category. The Awards recognize excellence in the development and application of technology to enhance the efficiency, speed and cost-effectiveness of the claims process.
"Appian's on-demand BPM platform is ideal for supporting our mission to help healthcare organizations like Chartis leverage technology, while reducing cost and risk," said Ingolv Urnes, founder and principal at psHEALTH. "It enables us to develop world-class solutions very quickly, and offers us a new and attractive subscription-based revenue stream."
"Software solution vendors across a variety of industries are beginning to understand that leveraging a powerful yet easy-to-use BPM platform transforms the traditional application development and delivery process," said Justin Thomas, managing director for Appian Europe. "psHEALTH is leading this revolution in the healthcare market, and we are proud to be an enabler of a truly innovative solution such as Symbio-Sys."
