Appian is proud to announce the latest version of Appian 6, now available for download from Appian Forum.

This Spring 2011 release of Appian 6 brings a host of great new features that will improve end-user experience, add more granular security access control,  simplify server administration, and extend potential use cases for Mobile BPM deployments.

On that last note, this release also corresponds with updates to Appian Mobile BPM applications on the Apple App Store and BlackBerry App World.  If upgrading to the this version of Appian 6, be sure to also apply the latest updates to your mobile device.

Among the most interesting new mobile feature, Appian has added the ability to view and capture images from your mobile device and submit as part of a task or start form.  Appian will store the image in our Enterprise Content Management system and allow designers to perform logic upon it in process.  This has been a much requested feature and greatly expands the potential use cases for Appian to empower mobile employees.
