Appian’s Month of CIO Camps set to Kickoff at CIOsynergy Chicago

CIOs are constantly faced with the challenge of how to successfully align an IT business solution with corporate strategy. To further complicate this issue, business and IT are both grappling with how to harness new technologies for business value.

To help tackle this issue, Appian is pleased to exclusively sponsor a four city roadshow, kicking off tomorrow in Chicago at CIOsynergy as a way to spark dialogue for a new dimension of problem solving within the office of the CIO. In addition to CIOsynergy Chicago, Appian will provide its BPM and modern IT expertise at CIOsynergy events in Boston later this week (Thursday), as well as in Dallas and New York towards the end of the month.

CIOsynergy, a gathering of carefully selected IT leaders, represents a who’s who of enterprise IT aimed at identifying the issues CIOs are faced with each day. Guests of this symposium will explore the successes, failures, and battles of these officers on the frontlines of innovation, led by a panel of CIOs who will discuss how the convergence of mobile, social, cloud and big data technologies can create new business opportunities as well as more modern ways to work. The initial roadshow session will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in downtown Chicago.

In addition to the headline CIO panel session, Appian’s own Edward Hughes, Senior Vice President and Operations Officer, will share his thoughts on the Five Rules of Modern Application Development. During this presentation, Edward will discuss how the convergence of mobile, social, cloud and big data technologies is forcing us all to re-think what constitutes an “application.” Organizations must understand the common qualities of all truly modern applications in order to steer IT and the business into the future. Edward will also explain how organizations should look to their vendors to harness disruptive technologies for them, so they can focus on establishing an innovative work environment.

Be sure to follow Appian for updates from Chicago and all of our four city tours, and look for Appian experts to be live tweeting at each stop!
