Appian to Highlight Adaptive Case Management at BPM Open House 2014

As enterprise technology continues to modernize businesses across a variety of industries, it can be a tough task to figure out where to start. More and more organizations recognize the need to provide an effective way to manage data, records and other business-critical information, but selecting the right application platform can be a challenge.

BPM Open House 2014 is the premier webinar to learn first-hand experiences of BPM vendors and other companies on what it takes to maximize the value of enterprise software to deliver real business results.

During this week long virtual event (September 22-26), vendors will share individual case studies and tips on best practices for enabling your own BPM strategy. You can find out how global companies have maximized the ROI of their BPM investment along with insights into:

– Choosing the right software
– Implementation of the system
– Development and design of an application platform

Appian’s portion of the Open House will take place on Monday, September 22 from 11:00am – 12:00pm, as one of our customers will detail how a modern enterprise platform can create optimal business value and growth.

With 29 wind farms across the US, EDP Renewables (EDPR) North America is the country’s 3rd-largest wind energy producer. EDPR’s turbines are distributed across remote locations – and they must be operational when the wind is blowing. Stephan Blasilli, Head of Process Management and Stability, EDPR, and Chris Goldsberry, Analyst, Environmental Department, EDPR, will discuss how the organization integrated Big Data analytics from weather systems, pricing markets and more with intelligent process management and social collaboration to drive turbine performance through adaptive case management.

To fulfill this strategy, EDPR designed the COBRA (short for “COllaBoRAtion”) system using the Appian BPM platform. Appian provides comprehensive process, rules, events and analytics capabilities, combined with native mobility and social business collaboration for fast and intelligent resolution of dynamic case scenarios. In the process, EDPR saw a $100M ROI in just nine months.

In addition to the EDPR case study, Malcolm Ross, Vice President of Product Marketing at Appian, will provide a live demonstration into the features and functions of the Appian BPM Suite. Malcolm will provide an in-depth overview of Appian’s modern application platform including enterprise data management, process management, native mobility, social collaboration and portable cloud architecture. This demonstration will look at how the Appian BPM Suite:

  • Enables smarter decisions and faster business actions
  • Drives engagement with employees and customers
  • Provides a single comprehensive platform for the rapid creation and use of modern business applications

Be sure to join us for a dive into the Appian product, as well as discover how EDPR is creating a clean energy future!
