Appian Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in New Intelligent Business Process Management Software Magic Quadrant Report
Reston, Va.— October 2, 2012 —Appian, the market leader in modern Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant in the 2012 “Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites” (Gartner, Inc. “Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites, 2012” by J. Sinur, et al, September 27, 2012).
Matthew Calkins, president and CEO of Appian, said, “Appian delivers a unique combination of industry-leading features that drive real business value. Our worksocial technology that combines modern features from BPM, enterprise social and native mobility, delivers a universal process and collaboration environment. In combination with our real-time events and analytics and in-memory reporting, Appian clearly leads the market in next-generation BPM technology.”
The Gartner report positions 13 vendors focused on real-time agility, process optimization and other hallmarks of intelligent business operations (IBO). According to the report, early adopters are implementing IBO now; however, all organizations should factor Intelligent Business Process Management Software (iBPMS) into their BPM planning horizon.
According to the report, “An iBPMS expands the traditional BPMS by adding the new functionality needed to support IBO, such as real-time business analytics, deep complex-event processing (CEP), social media to support social behavior and collaboration, and expanded technologies to support growing requirements for mobility.”
Worksocial, the latest achievement in Appian’s 13 years of innovation leadership, combines the most powerful BPM Suite capabilities with industry-leading native mobility and a zero-training social interface and portable on-premise/cloud deployment. These features make Appian a powerful yet easy-to-use choice for all critical business processes. Appian also delivers unique in-memory active analytics and a real-time event and reporting architecture, which are essential in IBO use cases.
